Blog Award

Good evening, readers! This past week I was awarded with the "Stylish Blogger Award" by Ella from the Door in the Air - thank you so much, girl! Reading a new post by you is always fun. I appreciate you picking my blog as one of your "five," and including me in this award. *smile*

The general "rules" of this award are seven facts about yourself and passing along the award to five others. All of my followers are awesome - each time you participate in commenting, I appreciate it so much. Reading those thoughts makes it more worth blogging - so all of you, keep them coming! This award needs five people to pass it along too, so I did my best to create that short list. To see if you were one of my followers that I picked, read on below to find out which followers I've chosen to pass along this award to.
  1. Hayden of Story Girl because... the name of her blog is so cute - and stylin'
  2. Jemimah of Beautiful Blank Pages because... she has a wonderfully, simplistic, classy layout
  3. Juju of Tales of Whimsy because... I love her design! It goes so well with the name of her blog
  4. Lauren of With a Smile and a Song because... she has a stylish blog. Period
  5. Raquel of God's Daughter because... of different reasons (like her pretty header) but mostly for her series, "From a Guy's Viewpoint" - it's very cool
Seven facts about myself:
  • I like penguins. Only the cartoon types though - for some reason the "real" black-and-white tuxedo-like arctic animals aren't nearly as cute as the novelty ornaments you can hang on your tree or the ones that filmmakers bring to life on the big screen. This year, I have a "penguin tree" in the office instead of my traditional "shoe tree."
  • Christmas is my most favorite time or the year - apart from the autumn season. I love how "magical" this time of year is. Everything seems so "perfect" and it means more time spent with family.
  • In keeping with the whole penguin trend, may I just say that I am excited about the new chipmunk movie releasing this December. I think those movies are just adorable.
  • I love Reese's peanut butter cups
  • This past summer I got "hooked" on the TV shows Covert Affairs and Rizzoli & Isles
  • I am currently reading three books
  • I have been to Mt. Rushmore and Alaska
Thank you again, Ella!

  2. Cool! And Congrats;) Yeah, I like penguins, too...though I'm not like, obsessed with them. :) But Reese's are THE BEST!!!! Sometimes I read 3 or 4 books at a time, also. Like right now... :)

  3. Sierra - I cannot speak from personal experience about Canada but Alaska is beautiful! I really loved it up there... although I don't think well enough to live there. ;D

Penguins are cute - and you are so right, who can say "no" to a Reese's peanut butter cup!? =D

Trinka - I'm not obsessed with penguins either, but I do think they are cute, and I've got some cutesy penguins; like an ornament, Pillow Pet and the like. Some I've been given as gifts and some I got for myself. =D

I do not have much of a "sweet tooth," but I do love Reese's. Reading multiple books isn't always the best route, but it never seems to stop me!

Thanks, girls for your comments - I appreciate them. =)

  10. I do believe I was awarded with this award not so long ago, but thanks for awarding me with it again!

Ooh! I love penguins! They're one of my favorite animals. Both the real and "non-real" ones are cute.

  11. Ella - you are so not alone about the Chipmunk movies! I am way past the "target" audience, too and yet, I love them - they make me smile just thinking about them. =D

I love both Covert Affairs and Rizzoli & Isles. Both are different, but "fun." I cannot wait to get my hands on S2 this summer - it always gives me something to look forward to. ;D

The fact that we like so many of the same things is ironic. =)

Juju - you are welcome! I've always thought your blog was stlin' - and I think it was one I visited before I even blogged!

Christmas is such a "magical" time of year - I've always loved it but then... who doesn't!?

Lauren - thank you and you are welcome! Your blog looks fabulous, girl! =) And, you always seem to have the right words to say - good for you!

Ella - Reese's are yummy, aren't they!? Funny thing is I am not really fond of anything else combining chocolate and peanut butter. ;-D

Jemimah - I had to laugh because I did notice that you were just awarded the "stylish blogger award" by Miss Dashwood (I think), but that is okay; you still deserve it. =) No number of awards is too many, right!? LOL!

I think the "fake" penguins are always cutest, although the baby real-life penguins are cute. =D

WOW! There are a lot of Reese's peanut butter fans - that is cool. =D
