Blog Award

Hello to all  of my awesome readers. Today, I wanted to give a shout-out to Sierra from Keep Growing Beautiful who, last week awarded me with the "Kreativ Blogger Award." Thank you, thank you, Sierra! That was just lovely of you! Your blog posts are always entertaining whether you post random pictures (they always bring a smile) or use it as a platform to share about something you are passionate about. Great job!

To find out how I answered the "mandatory" questions that come with this award - and who I awarded (hint: you all are named) read on below.

1) Name your favorite song: this is a tough one. My love of music ranges from Christian to country and everywhere in-between (minus rap music, mind you). Right now I am slightly obsessed with Lady Antebellum's beautiful number one single from their last album Own the Night, "Just a Kiss." It is such a sweet romantic ballad. However, songs with a deeper meaning include Point of Grace songs "How you Live" and "Heal the Wound." (Oh! And Martina's "Teenage Daughters" is really cute. *grin*)

2) Name your favorite dessert: I don't have a "sweet tooth" but I do love cheesecake - and my uncle makes an awesome one, and from scratch, too.

3) What makes you angry: culture's attempts to mislead us. Lying.

4) When you're upset: sometimes, I want to be alone, but most of the time I remind myself to "get over it" because in life, most things that we allow to upset us are petty and unimportant in the scheme of life.

5) What's your favorite pet? I am not a big animal person but kittens are so cute - I just wish they stayed little. They "get big" and aren't nearly are cute.

6) Black or white? It depends.

7) Biggest fear? Apart from snakes, you mean? Well... I think that there is a lot to fear in life - healthy fear. So much is "unknown" in this walk, all we are asked is to do our best and live life in the right spirit.

8) Everyday attitude? Quiet but cheerful

9) What is perfection? Have to agree with Sierra, God. His creation and the love he has for every human being.

10) Guilty pleasure? Oh, gosh! We might be here forever if I list those! *grin* Costume dramas; reading
a romance novel; watching a silly movie (like Alvin and the Chipmunks 3), and although "costume dramas" covers this, it really deserves a mention all its own, Downton Abbey

7 Random Facts about myself:
  • As a little girl, my "grammie" got me started on American Girl and still today, I love their products and enjoy getting the doll outfits because I have each of my dolls on a shelf and every few months, I have fun changing them into their different historical outfits (the new doll is just adorable)
  • Autumn is my favorite season
  • I have just become "addicted" to the Scrabble game on the cell phone (surprisingly, Yahtzee isn't nearly as fun)
  • Over the Christmas holidays I discovered a "new" television show that you will all be able to read about soon - I'll give you a hint: it is another crime drama
  • I love Doritos
  • I find it fun to try new recipes - just the other day I was hungry for an awesome trifle that I made last year over the holidays (it is packed with things that aren't good for you, but every-once-in-a-while, what's the harm?)
  • The plan is to paint my room in the next couple of months.... I am thinking of something in a "natural" shade so that I can change up accent colors easily and the like: any ideas, my friends?
Thank goodness that was "number 7" because, unfortunately, I think I am out of "randomness"
I Award...
  • I am "tagging" all of my followers for this award - not only do you all deserve it, but if you've stuck with my rambling 'til the end, you really deserve it! *wink* Grab your award with the rules listed below. 3. Hmmm...I do have three AG dolls that get the occasional change of outfits :) And I like to look at the new ones in my sister's catalogs. :) Scrabble can be addictive. Do you know how to play Speed Scrabble? I am in love with it. Your welcome!!! Ooh, I love How You Live (Turn Up The Music). One of my favorites. Sierra

  4. Trinka - thanks, girl! =)

Autumn's warm days and cool nights, that is perfect! Love Doritos. The cool ranch are the best.

I am SO jealous of you just now. lol! =D I am so looking forward to seeing Person of Interest! It does LOOK awesome, so I am thrilled to read that from you.

    Juju - thanks!

I know right!? Aren't Doritos the best chips EVER?? ;D

Culture likes to mislead us every chance they get - and it is getting old very fast!

Sierra - I am way past the age of "liking" dolls, but even though I do not "play" with them anymore, I still like to change them into their historical outfits. Right now they are all proudly lined up in their Christmas finery. And if I were younger, I'd totally still put some of the newer dolls on my Christmas list. ;D My family has the Scrabble "tile" game (is that the speed Scrabble?) and it is loads of fun. The 8-year-old I babysit is even well on her way to mastering it.

Point of Grace is an awesome trio and that song... it's priceless.
