Changes to Google

So... I just wanted to drop by this evening with a quick, friendly "fyi" for all of you who may read this blog.

From what I am hearing, Google/Blogger will be taking away Google Friend Connect (March first) which means we will all have to find different ways to keep up with our favorite blogs. I am hearing that we'll still be able to follow blogs through GoogleReader, so I have added a button for that under the drop down menu "follow me..." as well as a  link for BlogLovin' and LinkyFollowers.

  4. Erynn - I have heard so many conflicting reports that its way confusing. =) So... I just figured it was "safer" to have these alternatives set up for the possibility of a change.

    I wanted to thank you SO much for following me, Erynn! I really appreciate it - I have been meaning to check out your blog and haven't gotten around to it just yet - hopefully one day this next week. =) So glad you stopped in.

    Sierra - cool! =) I haven't worked with BlogLovin' too much, but it seems to work o.k. - and as soon as you get that "okay" I'll be on the looking out for Keep Growing Beautiful. =)

    Awww! Thanks, girl! I had a LOT of fun designing this and am really pleased with the results, and have several others that I made up, too - it was kind of "addictive." ;D

    Trinka - yep! Finally did get that done. =D I am still trying to size it correctly because I don't like how it looks when it is posted to a blog... but hey, at least it is "designed." =D

    Do I have to be a member for people to follow me through it?

  6. I am thinking, no. I actually found Tales of Whimsy on BlogLovin' and if you are not a member... I'd say you don't have to be a member to be "found" on the site, only to follow blogs. =)

    When all is said and done, I think there will be plenty of alternatives - it is just too bad that GFC is going away because it was SO easy (or that is what I thought).
