A couple of weeks ago, Shia nominated me as one of the fifteen bloggers she passed the "Versatile Blogger" award on to. Thank you SO much, Shia - and sorry this took me so long! I greatly appreciate that. (Also in this post is some other "news" related to this blog.)
The rules are simple:
- Thank the person who nominated you - check!
- Share 7 random things about yourself
- Pass it on to 15 bloggers
Random-ness:
- I do not like grapefruit - despite liking "citrus" things
- Contradiction time: Long story short, for her birthday last year, my mom was given a Soda Stream machine by us - I am now addicted to the pink grapefruit.
- I took my first bike ride of the year a week ago Sunday
- Currently reading an interesting teen fantasy novel
- Love Coke and/or Pepsi Lime soda
- Several years ago, I cut my left-hand thumb while making applesauce - I still have a scar at the top of my thumb from that.
- Recently joined Twitter! It is not something I am going to become "obsessed" with but I've had some real fun with it and am learning how to use it - and re-connecting with someone.
Thanks again, Shia - that was fun.
I also wanted to make note that you may have or will notice some subtle changes around here. I am working on transitioning into a different "schedule" for blogging, a change I really like. That doesn't mean I want you all to stop visiting - I don't! *grin* Plus, I will still be actively blogging, continuing to visit all of your awesome blogs. Also, the plan is to blog more "editorial" posts (about life in general) and I am looking into some new "opportunities" which is looking good for more book reviews to be coming around here. Now to "complete" this post, here are some bloggers that I am passing the "Versatile Blog" award to:

Hi Rissi! It was fun learning more about you! I don't like grapefruit either. Won't touch the stuff. Yikes on the scar story! -- when I was a little kid, I burned my wrist on an iron while making a craft in VBS. Twenty-five years later, the scar remains. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Gwendolyn. =)
ReplyDeleteThere is just something about grapefruit that I do not like - it is way tart.
Ouch! That story hurts. My cut wasn't as bad as it sounds but it's funny to still see the little scar there today. =)
Thank you Rissi! I'll be happy to accept. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the new header. Red and grey - one of my favorite color schemes!
I'll be looking forward to reading more of your "editorial" posts. :)
Aw! Cool, Lauren. =)
ReplyDeleteThanks - I had lots of fun putting it together despite having to find the 3 pics. that matched. I don't like doing a mix of things if they don't coordinate, so that was a "must." =)
I am trying to "re-invent" this blog to some extent and a part of that will be more book reviews as well as - hopefully (as long as I am able to think up topics!) - more "culture / life" posts. It is something I am going to work on. =)
Yes thank you Rissi that sounds fun I will try to get a post up with your link and the information. Thanks again:) I should get a post up within the next week!
ReplyDelete-Ashley
Sure, Ashley. If you are able to do this, I'll look forward to your post. ;D
ReplyDeleteI can only tolerate grapefruit if I sprinkle some Splenda on it. Too sour for me otherwise!
ReplyDeleteGood luck on your new schedule! I've been trying to come up with one for myself, and have been (mostly) sticking to it. :o)
Ha! I don't even eat it then. ;D
ReplyDeleteThanks, Christy. It is not "set in stone" what my thoughts are about this blog, but I definitely have "new" things I want to try and play with. We'll see how they turn out!
