Link Love, Take Two // Blogging + Reviews

Hello, readers! What has been keeping you busy? It is May already, can we believe that - the year is nearly half over. I know a lot of you are probably really excited about school getting out, and summer beginning. My summer is shaping up to be of the usual variety. It suits me fine, too. Do you have something exciting coming up this summer?

Since my post of a couple weeks ago that consisted of commercials and "link love" was kind of fun, I thought maybe, I'd go ahead and do another one. I just hope (*fingers crossed*), I can come up with some links! Let me know what some of your favorite links from the week are... or anything else you want to share.


Link Love:

Listening to this non-stop since its release left me conflicted initially but I've now re-vised a lot of what I thought!

The fact that there is less than a month before season five of this show releases has me tickled pink

Season six's finale of this show was... perfectly priceless! Now I have to wait months to get my hands on S7 *groan*

This dress = classy. I am kind of obsessed with it right now

I am going for some different looks in fashion statements going into this summer weather, so a couple weeks ago when mom and I were shopping, I picked up this dotted and pleated skirt (it is way cuter in person)

In keeping with the fashion trend: The fact that I've become addicted to this show in one short day is... frightening! (the review)

This tweet held an awesome surprise - and I'd wondered where this author had been! This tweet made me smile (don't we all have those moments, Christy *smile*)

Wishing this novel would hurry up and arrive in my mailbox - it is supposed to be perfect reading for fans of Downton Abbey. (Um... obviously, I'd be impatient for it to arrive!) Just wrapped up reading and reviewing this author's novel (if you missed it, here is the review)

Despite my initial skepticism, I am anticipating the release of this movie (or more appropriately, blockbuster)

Before I close, in other Blogger-related material: I have been working a lot on getting reviews written that I need to have done by a said date, so that has been occupying much of my time but... I am trying to think of some new topics (i.e., like "The Contemporary Princess" post) to write about. Some have potential, others will probably never get written. *sigh* Me and my writing woes. Also, recently, I have been "cleaning up" my blog feed. If I "un-followed" a blog that I actively comment on or one of my (awesome) followers, I apologize! It was likely a mistake - forgive me. Lastly, I cannot believe I am going to say this because I never saw myself as a blogger who participated in or held a giveaway like I see on so many blogs (not saying they are wrong; don't misunderstand) but... I am toying with perhaps holding one to thank all of you, the followers who have been so encouraging. If I got around to organizing it, it'd be a DVD (Masterpiece Theatre or something) and/or gift cards (iTunes/Amazon). Nothing "fancy." That is all for today.   2. Back to being warm here but not "too" warm - yesterday was lovely! There was a light breeze and sunshine. All too soon, we'll be complaining about the hot temperatures, so we need not fear. ;D

    I think giveaways are fun and I sometimes enter... but I rarely rarely do giveaways because they're kinda stressful for me... and I have to find sponsors since I have no money 95 percent of the time. ;)

  4. Ooooh! Sorry you've not heard Carrie's new album yet, Rachel - I have definitely changed my opinion of it! (Tomorrow night she is performing on DWTS and even though I shouldn't, I will probably watch it - 'cause she will likely perform a new song! YAY! ;D)

    Thanks for your input on the giveaway idea - I wanted to see what readers thought of it. =) Honestly, I've entered very few giveaways for a variety of reasons (most because I tend to be careful about personal information), so I was curious to know if those who followed/read my blog would even show interest. I know most do use sponsors but I'd likely do things differently; I'd just think of a few things and put them up for the winners - I may also give away a DVD of The Hunger Games. It is supposed to release this summer and I am thinking that is when I'd there'd be a giveaway if/when I got one together. Again, thank you. =)

    I am right there with you about the money - I know just how you feel. That is me also. ;D

  6. Something exciting this summer? Blech, I'm on a scholarship and they want me to take Summer classes. And when people are paying for your tuition- you do what they want you to do! :D Haha, M&M commercials are always hilarious!!

    And ooh... giveaways are exciting, and bring you more blog followers. I adore Amazon gift cards! ;)

  7. Juju - I know, me too! After seeing Mirror Mirror, my opinion of this second one changed because I am super curious to discover which I like best. Hopefully it will be a girl's day outing for my mother and I. =)

    Bones = brilliance! I love the show and am now happier than ever at the direction it went in. =D

    Rachel - ah! You are right that doesn't sound fun! My cousin has one summer class this year also but it was her own fault as she chose to do it that way. I am sure you will do just fine. =) Best of luck!
