Good morning, all! Well... I did it again! I signed up to review a book I already owned. Needless to say, this is never something I intend to let happen and yet, it did - for the second time in as many months! (Though I don't think the first time was my fault - somehow I was sent two copies instead of one.) Anyway, today the prize is a copy of Tracie Peterson and Judith Miller's third 'Bridal Veil' novel, To Honor and Trust. Despite wanting to for ages, I've not read this series yet so hopefully getting the third for review (which will be coming soon) will prompt me to get it read.
If you'd like to read the synopsis or have a chance to win a copy, click below the cut for all that info.
Good luck!
Callie DeBoyer is unsettled as she arrives at Bridal Veil Island with the Bridgeport family. She’s just received a letter from her parents, missionaries in coastal Africa, stating they are in dire need of more personnel. Should Callie give up her governess job and join her parents in their important work? Is God calling her to the mission field, or does she just want to escape the emotional scars of being jilted by her former beau?
When she enrolls young Thomas Bridgeport in golf lessons, Callie meets Wesley Townsend, who urges Callie to take lessons, as well. During their time at the golf course, Callie comes to care for Wesley–until she discovers hidden secrets about his past.
Then expensive jewels go missing from various homes on the island, and suspicion is aimed in Callie’s direction. As the investigation continues, Callie wonders if she should escape it all by going to Africa. After the secrets he kept about his past, will Wesley ever be a man she can honor and trust for the rest of her life?

Thank you for the giveaway Rissi :) I'm glad I didn't miss this one *winks*
ReplyDeleteI have only read one book by Tracie Peterson, (another one that she co-authored with Judith Miller...or is it better to say co-wrote? :P) Broadmoor Legacy book one. I want to read this series and the Land Of The Lone Star series though :) Sierra
Keep growing beautiful!
As am I, Sierra - happy you got in on it. :)
DeleteThat series by Tracie and Judith was charming - it is still one of my most enjoyed historical series and probably one I'll not get rid of. Actually, I do have that 'Lone Star' series by Tracie that I'd be happy to send to you if you'd ever like it. I've read them all and probably won't re-read the series simply because "prairie" fiction doesn't hold the same appeal it once did. :)
Best of luck!
I really need to finish that series... Thank you for the offer, I will be sure to take you up on that if I need to! :)
DeleteIt's sadly dulled somewhat for me. The books aren't living up to my western expectations :/ Sierra
Keep growing beautiful!
Do, Sierra - if you liked the first okay, I think you'd enjoy the rest. :)
DeleteSomething about western fiction just doesn't appeal as it once did. It has to be a really great author to entice me - probably my favorite "new" western was The Confidential Life of Eugina Cooper. It had fantastic word play! Or simply put, humor. :)
I have never read anything by Tracie Peterson, but I love checking out new authors!
ReplyDeleteBefore I expanded genres and authors, Tracie was probably close to the top of my author list - she writes such a "sweet" story. Trying new authors is "exciting," C.C.
DeleteBest of luck. :)
I really enjoyed her Alaskan Quest series!
ReplyDeleteOnly read part of that set, Liz meaning I really should finish it to see how the saga ends. :)
DeleteI haven't read any of her books so I would love to win this one!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance!
Katie
My pleasure, Katie. Best of luck with the giveaway. :)
DeleteI love so many of Tracie's books but the Alaskan Quest series is probably my favorite!
ReplyDeleteOne series I have yet to finish, Merry! :) Best of luck.
